This is a release based on Ubuntu Hardy (8.04) containing useful tools for free media practice,
find here the HOWTOS to start your free media channel ( radio or television ) and express yourself!

Here you can find the HOWTOs for setting up a streaming channel using G.I.S.S. infrastructure, but some of the HOWTOs can also be used in another context. All contents of this CD, including the documentation can be shared and re-used, provided that you respect the Terms Of Use of G.I.S.S. :

giss is a volunteer, non-commercial network created with free software for free media.

when you create a mountpoint in giss you agree to the following terms :

* The media you stream is under copyleft or non-commercial copyright (e.g. creative commons).

* If the media is not copyright free then you must own the copyright of the media, or be authorised to stream by the author/creator.
